He is?! I didn't know that. I...didn't even think it was possible, looking at the ending. ((Unless we get to see Christine killed off...and the fop too...)) I don't have the movie myself, so I only get to watch it on rare occasion. I DO have the broadway soundtrack though, courtesy of my friend that lent me the movie.

Well that's the thing. I can't see how there would be a sequel. There is no way that I can see that happening.

It's an unspoken rule in musicals; Thou shalt not make sequels. Which Lion King(great as it is) and High School Musical(hate it) have ignored.

Ohh I love musicals! The first one I was ever interested in was The Phantom of the Opera. I first saw the movie, then read the book, and finally saw the actual stage production. Then I became obsessed with Sweeney Todd as soon as that was released in theaters. Haven't seen the stage show, but watched parts of it on Youtube. And justtt recently, I have fallen in lovee with Moulin Rouge! ;D

You should watch Rent! You'll love that! Try to find a stage production of Ragtime, Pippin, Wicked, and Children of Eden, too! Oh! And if you ever want to know a good Broadway show, Legally Blonde the Musical is their top hit right now!

I've heard Rent was really good, so I definitely want to check that one out. Same goes for Wicked, a lot of people seem to really like it. Thanks for the suggestions blu!

I love going to go see community theater, too. The two community musicals in my city are both really good!

I've never been to a community theater, but the drama at my school is extremely good. I went to see Beauty and the Beast there and it blew me away.

Same at my school. Of course, I'm usually in the musicals at my school. We've done Ragtime and Pippin the past two years and I highly enjoyed them both.

I would LOVE to be apart of one of the musicals put on by my school. I just don't have enough courage to actually go through with it. Like, I would have loved to play the part of Belle in Beauty and the Beast, but I was too scared of rejection of even getting the part, or just not being... good enough? I guess. haha There I go being negative. I'm hoping next year, since I'll be a senior, I can at least audition for a role.

^-^ Yay! One of my friends is a huge fan, she got me into it when she lent me the movie. *hums Music of the Night* When I was in high school my show choir class did a medley of Phantom songs ... complete with one of the guys dresses up as the Phantom roaming around the auditorium singing. I had gone to New York some years ago for the opening of Fame on 42nd Street (as I had been invited) and my sister and I were hoping maybe we could see Wicked and The Lion King while we were there but we didn't get to see either. I can't remember whether they were all sold out or what. It wasn't until after I graduated that my high school decided to start doing musicals. The first musical they did was Grease and I helped out a little bit, in that I was asked to make a few of the Pink Ladies jackets. LOL

I wish my school could do Wicked, honestly. I think it would be so much fun! Same for The Lion King. For next year, we have the perfect cast for it next year!

So, anyone going to see Mamma Mia this weekend? I would be going tonight if it wasn't for the fact that I promised two of my nephews that I'd take them to see Journey to the Center of the Earth. So we are going to see that tonight and hopefully sometime this weekend I'll go see Mamma Mia as well.
