I realize this question gets asked a lot but ... oh well. How and/or why did you start making graphics?I got into graphics back in 97 because I had created my first ever website and the only way I had to spice up the look of the website was to use premade graphics that I could download off the internet. The only problem was, I couldn't find a set of graphics that really fit with the theme of the website so I bought Paint Shop Pro so that I could make my own. Plus, it came in handy for editing/resizing pictures for gallery pages and such. Now when I first signed up with a Proboards forum ... that was another story. I originally used a premade template because I was a little overwhelmed with the idea of designing a forum layout. But once I became familiar with the forum, it's features and the codes available to customize things, I did make my own.

I'm not extremely into it, Graphics is just a thing that I occasionally do to ease my mind or fill out the colorful part of my artistic need to explode.

I love art. I got into graphics in November of 2005 when a friend of mine on a different forum (The LotR Plaza) told me she was making an RP forum. I had elements on the computer I was using at that time, and thus my obsession was born. xD

A while ago, my dad got Photoshop 7. I would mess around on it and learn the controls and how to use it for fun. I would occasionally make a CD cover for a compilation of songs that I had put together. In 2006, I went on the internet to try to find a Warriors (a series about wild cats that form Clans) roleplay website. I found one that I like and joined it. There, I got exposed to signatures/siggies/sigs and wanted to make some of my own. I would try to make cat related signatures for a while until I started my own website and made the skin for that (the first one stunk ). I started getting better at making basic cat related signatures (cutting the cat out and putting it in a natural background and then adding text). Then I joined ProVision in hopes to advertise my website. I soon figured out they didn't have an advertising section and left for a while. Later I came back and noticed what great graphics tutorials they had and how much it had to offer. It was then that I started to greatly improve at making graphics.

I started my own website and made the skin for that (the first one stunk ). I wouldn't be surprised if everyone didn't think the same thing about the graphics that they made when they first started making graphics. LOL I can remember, in particular, the menu buttons I created for my website when I first got Paint Shop Pro. They weren't bad, per se, but I no longer like the font that I used for them. In fact, I dislike the font so much now that I refuse to use it again. I'm not extremely into it, Graphics is just a thing that I occasionally do to ease my mind or fill out the colorful part of my artistic need to explode. You don't have to be extremely into graphics. It can be a great way to relax. I love art. I got into graphics in November of 2005 when a friend of mine on a different forum (The LotR Plaza) told me she was making an RP forum. I am terrible at drawing ... though I can look at an picture and sketch a copy of it pretty well. I remember once, for a history class in high school, we had to draw (on large poster board paper) a country that we were doing an oral report on and mine turned out really nice that the teacher asked if he could keep it afterwards. I even did my sister's as well, which was odd because she can draw. LOL I did however sew a good bit and did crafts, including shirt painting. So I guess those kinds of things were my form of art.
