Well I was thinking. Wouldn't it be interesting is for example the whole forum was designed in 3D? Like if something is floating it has a shadow etc. Take for example my sig, a little rotate and shadowing and boom. It gives it a different kind of look to it. I think it will give it a new level to graphic design. Forum design can become more complex but still, it will look very cool. Any thoughts?

Looks a bit odd to me. I mean, wouldn't it be harder to actually view a forum if it was like that?

I dunno, seems like a lot of work to me to do for a whole forum. I guess, if I saw it on a test forum, then I might understand how it would look better.

Maybe the shadow could have a Gaussian blur applied to it so that it didn't have the harsh edges.
That would be interesting, for sure. I did see a website once that had the appearance of a tilt, like in your signature example, and it was nice. Can't recall where I saw it as it was quite awhile ago. It was probably done in flash too.

^ I was going to suggest the same @ the gaussian blur. It should only need a little one, don't overdo it.
A forum like that would sure be great, and wouldnt be a problem, 'cos what could happen is, when you hover over it, it could then face 2d/forward. =)

Ahhh! Very good idea Stinky666... I agree alittle gaussian blur. Just a little, so its uneven a bit. EDIT: Like this? vzerohost.com/rotate.html

Making a whole website like this will take forever.

I think that is a great idea! A 3D/floating forum. Wow! I would try to design one but I am not skilled enough at templates.

Well it's not that hard making the images, putting it all together is the hard part. But of course once you get going. You'll become a expert at it!

I guess, but putting it together and making it look good would be the hard part.

No, not really, if you have a sence of style in graphics it should be easy. Or as I like to say it, do you have the " eye".

Making a whole website like this will take forever. Nah, the designing would be as easy as any other, but the coding would be something else. I would feel sorry for anyone who took the coding side up lol
