| MAKE AN EASY ABSTRACT SIGNATURE |
Step 1 - Open up Photoshop, go to File > New... and set the widthxheight to 500x500. (No, youre signature won't be this big.) Step 2 -Select the paintbucket tool and fill the background layer with black. Then go to Filter > Render > Len's Flare. Step 3 -Set the brightness between 100 - 120. Place it somewhere in the middle of your screen. Make sure you're using 50-300mm Zoom. Step 4 - Go to Filter > Sketch > Chrome. Set the detail to 10 - 15 and the smoothness to 0. Step 5 -Set the blending mode layer to lighten. (This is in your layers panel.) Now duplicate the layer five times. You can either right click on the layer, or go to Layer > Duplicate. Step 6 - Select Layer 1 Copy. Go to Filter > Distort > Wave. And hit randomize. Do this for 5 out of 7 of the duplicated layers. Step 7 -Select Layer 1 Copy 6 and go to Filter > Distort > Twirl. Set it to something above 100. Do this to the Layer 1 Copy 7 but instead of 100+, set it to whatever Layer 1 Copy 6 was, only negative. EX: 186, -186. Step 8 -Merge all the layers together. Layer > Merge Visible. Step 9 -Go to Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation (CTRL+U) Check COLORIZE, and make sure your saturation is relatively high. My settings were - Hue: -47 Saturation: +100 Lightness: 0. Step 10 -Select your CROP TOOL and make a selection on the image. It can be anywhere, any size (in signature sizes.) Pick a part of the image that you like, and crop it (double click.) THATS IT! You're done. Add your text and a border. FINISHED PRODUCT

Thank you for submitting this tutorial. Any chance you can provide a sample image of the outcome?

Yes, sorry. I totally forgot. I copied this off my forum and it was in a seperate post. I'll edit and put that up there. =D Sorry. No need to apologize. Just thought it might be nice to have an example image of what the effect would look like ... not that it's required or anything. LOL Thanks for posting an example, by the way, that's some nice effects.
