Well, we all enjoyed the movie Journey to the Center of the Earth. What we didn't realize until I went and looked up the show times was that it was a 3D movie.
Anyway, Broken Angel and I might be going to see Mamma Mia tonight because our sister is having a small birthday party for one of our nephews tomorrow.
EDIT: Went and saw Mamma Mia tonight! LOVED IT! ;D It was so funny. Had us all laughing.

I like musicals, but I'm not a huge fan of them, however I absolutely loved Mama Mia. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it surprised me so much. I look forward to Vanilla Orchids getting it on DVD so I can steal it from her.

New Line Cinema has made a deal with "Hairspray" creator John Waters to write a treatment for a sequel to summer 2007’s hit musical feature. Planning to return are director-choreographer Adam Shankman, producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron and Tony-winning songwriters Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman, who will write new songs for the film. www.variety.com/article/VR1117989390.html?categoryid=13&cs=1

Sequels rarely are any good, but who knows. Hairspray was so good that the sequel might actually be good. I know Grease 2 sucked and so will POTO 2. But that's because they don't have much to build off of for a sequel, although I could see Hairspray having a good story for the sequel.

Sequels can be a let down sometimes. I liked Grease 2 well enough. And I'm looking forward to a Hairspray sequel especially if they can get the original cast back.
I didn't know about the Phantom of the Opera sequel though.

Oh yeah, if they got the cast from the movie for the sequel that would be great. I doubt it would hit Broadway or West End, though.
yep, he's writing one, and it's probably going to be terrible.

Because RENT is ending on Broadway as of tomorrow, they filmed the August 20th show (and will be filming portions of the last show) and it will be shown in theaters for 4 days only towards the end of this month! www.thehotticket.net/rent/I am definitely wanting to see this ... even though the tickets cost $20.
